  1. This is a much needed program! As a mom who had her children at 41 and 44, and an advocate for women on the journey of motherhood after 40, I’ve connected with many unique single moms. When “Mr. Right” doesn’t turn up in time, many women opt for single motherhood via sperm donor, or adoption. They are also more likely to have singletons due to their age (and declining fertility). I have many single mom friends and admire them immensely! Here is a wonderful, inspirational story from our support site about a marriage therapist and former school teacher, who chose to adopt a baby girl from an orphanage in China, and become a single mom at age 50:
